Say hello to the Brow & Eye Mask; your new double-impact mask to deeply nourish brows whilst elevating your daily eye care routine. We caught up with Founder of Blink Brow Bar, Vanita Parti, to share the inspiration behind BBB London's latest launch.

"The idea of creating a Brow and Eye Mask came to me as I gently brow pinched my brows whilst relaxing on a Sunday evening. Wouldn’t it be ideal to leave a mask of some kind on the brows for a while to relax and nourish and then gently brow pinch them after them for double results? As I became more obsessed with the idea, my other obsessions - not only with brows, but also the healing powers of Rose and the super nourishing powers of Coconut - came into play and I decided that they would be the perfect dual combination for feeding the brows whilst relaxing to the cooling effects and wonderful scent of Rose.

When it comes to brows, our customers inevitably want ingredients that help them to grow. An evening ritual of relaxation needed that third dimension, and so caffeine came in to play. Caffeine is a wonderful ingredient to kick start hair follicles into action and actively encourage them from their rather comfortable sleepy state.

 

And then of course, why not nurture under the eyes at the same time; it’s all about getting the most out of your down time too. Throw in a little hyaluronic acid for an extra moisture boost and some Marula Oil to seep into the often crepe like, hydration-starved (and overlooked) parts of our face.

And from an idea, the first dual eyebrow and eye mask was born. I was delighted to be the first to trial it. The wonderful feeling of placing a mask saturated in goodness over my brows and eyes, knowing the nourishing ingredients were seeping into the part of my face that needed it most, was reassuring.  My children felt that I looked like Bat Man, my husband more like Zorro: I felt like Cat Woman. And when my meditative, mask time was disrupted (which inevitably it was), I was able to walk and talk with my mask firmly in place.

The Brow & Eye Mask was also a welcomed addition to my carry-on while travelling overseas, providing much-needed hydration (and a little in-flight entertainment), allowing me to step off the plane looking well-rested and renewed. After 15 minutes, I peeled it off and felt the silky thin residue of oil around my brows and eyes. I gently massaged it in with a pinching mechanism to ensure every last drop was absorbed by my newly hydrated skin.

To explain, Brow Pinching, a concept created by blink, is the gentle squeezing of the brows between the fingers. It helps encourage circulation and the lymph nodes to remove waste but also to relax. Circling around the eyes in a figure of eight then encourages the toxins to exit allowing the newly delivered anti-oxidants to settle in. Under the eyes will look visibly de-puffed, plumped and the skin brighter.

Everyone needs a brow ritual and a weekly Brow & Eye Mask is the perfect way to kickstart it. Sundays are the perfect time for relaxation and a self massage.
