What's the difference between a Signature Lash Lift and a Korean Lash Lift?

The difference between the traditional lash lift and Korean lash lift is firstly the formula; in the traditional lash lift, thioglycolic acid is used to break down the hair bond, and in Korean lash lift, a cysteamine based formula is used which is a gentler alternative.

Both work to create a new shape to the lashes, however, with Korean Lash Lift, the lifting process has a 2-step root lift.

  1. The hairs are first relaxed using a flat shield
  2. Then the new shape is created by using a shield that will achieve the desired curl and lift.

Results of a Korean Lash Lift can last up to 6-8 weeks.

Is a Korean Lash Lift better for my lashes?

In terms of lash health, yes. This approach ensures lashes stay healthy and strong, with results lasting 6-8 weeks.

We do recommend using a nourishing lash oil daily as aftercare to keep the lashes hydrated and luscious.

What products should I avoid after a lash lift?

Avoid heavy oil-based makeup removers, serums, face oils and creams such as coconut, argan and mineral oils. Check the ingredients when using waterproof makeup removers as they may contain oils.

Petroleum jelly can be too heavy and greasy for lashes, potentially breaking down the lift.

What products can I use after a lash lift?

Use water or gel based makeup removers, such as micellar water to gently cleanse the lashes.

For those with fair lashes, get a lash tint following your lash lift, you won’t need mascara.

If you want the extra length use a water based mascara such as our Lash Lift Tubing Mascara that has a tubular formula and contains Jojoba wax, Vitamin E and B to nourish and nurture fragile lashes.

Another bonus is that this mascara is so easy to remove - no harsh rubbing or make up remover is required; Simply splash the eyes with warm water and gently wipe with your cotton pad.

How can I make my lash lift last as long as possible?

Avoid rubbing, touching your lashes excessively and most importantly sleeping on the lashes that will cause premature bending and loss of lashes.

Follow the after care advice given by your therapist, the initial 24 hours after the lash lift is vital. After 48 - 72 hours it is important to use a lash conditioner to keep the lashes moisturised and healthy.

Our BBB Luscious Lash Oil is an overnight hair treatment that nourishes, strengthens and hydrates. It’s built on a base of potent plants oils each selected for their unique benefits: castor oil nourishes, jojoba moisturises, apricot kernel conditions, bamboo adds shine and rosemary stimulates growth.

The important factor is to use moderately so not to break the lash bond.
